IN LIKE FLYNN SPLIT UP...

Hello all,

The time has come to let you know that the members of In Like Flynn have decided to disband and will not be performing together after the next two gigs - Sat 25th June at the Hoxton Cell and Sat 2nd July at Nibley Music Festival.

Since forming as Namaste in 2004 we have had a great time making and performing our music, we have made many friends and we remain the best of pals. However, the time has come when we need to spread our wings and you'll be sure to see us all spraying our creative juices around in the near future in different forms.

We'll always fondly remember all the good times - especially the Ireland tour with Countervela, our gigs at the Chelsea and Shelter in Vienna and taking the Sheila (band van) around Europe praying all the way that she can go just a little further (RIP) - and if you joined us at any point along the way we thank you for it.

The last London gig is this Saturday so we hope can you can come along for a good old send off.

See you all on the other side - it's been emotional!

Spice Of Life residency.

Hello once again.
I hope that everyone is getting back into the swing of things after a lazy Christmas!

In keeping with the Christmas hangover, we have only one London gig in January - our ongoing residency gig at The Spice Of Life in Soho on Fridat 14th:

The S.O.L was nominated for "the venue of the year" in 2010 by someone-or-other who thinks that that is a worthwhile thing to have a pole about, and it is a really cool place: good vibes and always good music... so hope to see you there.

In Like Flynn descended apon an unexpecting audience in the darkest depths of the English countryside last night filling the hall with a cacoffiny which horrified and pleased in equal measure

How Many CDs?

Today In Like Flynn received a delivery of CDs which will soon be burnt and brought to you personally. The first free CD handouts will be outside The Black Keys / The Walkmen shows at the Brixton Academy next Tuesday and Wednesday. If you are attending and see anyone from In Like Flynn all you need to do is hold out your hand and grab - it's that easy. Hopefully, see you there.

A few weeks ago we played a show in Shunt in London Bridge. Make sure you go there - free entry, theatre, dance, live music, opera and a barefoot disco.

Friends Old and New

Hello blog readers,

Out on south London streets in the rain like wet rats waiting to feed - with one eye on the disapointed leaving the Academy and the other on Nando's across the street - you may have seen us.

Stalking the arch underneath the station - waiting in the shadows with pink bags filled to the brim with ammunition artfully unloaded on the unexpecting - you may have seen us.

Gathered around the post box intercepting east London hipsters as they escape from their Art Deco cage we stood and shouted - 'FREE CDs FOR EVERYBODY' - you may have seen us.

Recently - In like Flynn have gone to the arduous lengths of meeting you, on your terms, in your cribs(!) and bringing you our music in true handmade physical form.

If you are a new friend checking our this page for the first time after skillfully accepting a free CD be sure to post a message to say hello.

If you are an old friend and would like a CD/song that you don't have send a message and we'll be sure to get one to you.

Anyway - be sure to keep an eye out for us outside any gig you maybe attending in the coming months and if you see us - say hello.

This one is really going to be fantastic, guys!

Shunt is in an old tobacco warehouse, just around the corner from London Bridge station.

There is going to be a BBQ in the courtyard, lots of good music all night long and great vibes - truly not one to be missed!

We'll be filming it, so get your arse along!
